Arumen

A deep, silent wood of iron-barked trees, where the Green Maw's decay was finally halted. The name, now worn to Aranum, it's suggested it once meant 'the blightsong's edge'. It is said a dirge of such grief was sung here that rot itself died. The forest that answered is eternally still and sterile. Leaves lie whole and unrotted on the ground, and the trees stand as monuments to that first, perfect note of sorrow.
