Steps of Uhl

A single, colossal upwelling of stone that rises in vast, terraced plateaus. Each 'step' is a world unto itself, with its own weather and ecosystems. Rivers begin as waterfalls plummeting from the higher plates, carving canyons that look like cracks in a giant's skull. The scale warps perspective; what looks like a hill from the lowlands is a cliff-face a thousand feet tall.
